Toyopower Rib Gauge

Toyopower has developed this easy-to-use belt wear gauge to help you and your customers determine when a belt should be replaced.

Features

1. The toothed side allows for a quick belt profile wear inspection.

2. The narrow edge helps check for overall wear and uneven wear across the belt.

Uneven Wear Test

✔ Insert the narrow edge of the gauge into each belt groove

✔ The gauge should not touch the bottom of any groove. If it does, the belt may be excessively worn

Profile Wear Test

✔ Use the toothed side of the gauge

✔ Press the gauge teeth into the belt grooves

✔ The teeth should fit securely and snugly into each groove. If they do not fit properly, the belt may require replacement

Before performing any work on a vehicle, ensure the engine is switched off. Refer to the vehicle owner’s manual for the manufacturer’s recommended belt replacement intervals.
